Leif Ahrle Tänk med hjärtat

Author: MHY Gävleborgs län, Sweden, Sweden Humor/Miljö / Hälsa / Mat/Hantverk / Hemslöjd / Snickeri/Bildkonst / Skulptur / Utställning/Film

Leif Ahrle worked as an actor for twenty-eight years. He was at Stadsteatern, Riksteatern, Dramaten and Sveriges Television. Both his parents were successful actors. His father Elof Ahrle recorded between ninety and one hundred feature films. He participated in four feature films a year for a period, especially in the 40s. And, of course, his father's popularity was characterized by Leif.

At the end, Leif thought it was too hard to stand on stage, the more the years went the more demands he made on himself. To get really good you have to "marry the theater". He wasn't motivated enough to be an actor. The mentality was not interesting enough for Leif. The strange thing about acting is that you have to be very hard-skinned and sensitive, but Leif thought he was more sensitive than hard-skinned.

During that time, Leif had a heart problem and thought he would die all the time. He exposed his body to too much stress. He asks himself the crucial question: "I have a life to manage, should I go around and feel bad in this life?"

Leif left his acting and was inspired by his good friend Erik Höglund, one of Sweden's largest glass artists, who made revolutionary glass artwork.

Leif Ahrle has now worked with art glass for thirty years, an artistic process that is incredibly exciting for him all the time. He has participated in a number of separate and collective exhibitions both in Sweden and in countries such as the United States, Hong Kong, Spain, Belgium, Finland, and France.

"The longer I live the more I realize that this with the heart, love, consideration, all those pieces are primary in life. I try to express it with the heart as a motif and artistic symbol. ”
