A 25-year old woman is persuaded by her father to return to the family home situated in a small town at the coast - a place that the woman hasn't visited for years. The father tells the woman that her mother is sick and that someone called Linnea is dying. When the woman steps over the threshold of the house, it feels as the time has frozen. The woman sees her mother Gunhild and realizes that Gunhild hardly recognizes her. On top of this, the 11-year old Linnea has been given the woman's old bedroom. Later, we understand that Linnea is really a large doll that Gunhild believes to be a child - the woman as a little girl.
The woman's first impulse is to flee the house once again, but eventually, she decides that she will stay, fight the problems that the family suffers and resume the relationship with her mother. The image that Gunhild has of her daughter is still that of a child, a child who is sick and fragile. The woman starts to create her own chimeras and Linnea becomes real even for her. It is only by accepting Linnea that the woman can start to work through her own self-image and, eventually, reunite with her parents.

It's now been a couple of months since we started this crowdfunding campaign and what an eventful and exciting couple of months it's been, too!
On October 27th Anna Österlund Nolskog (Producer & FAD) and Ida Thomasdotter (Auteur & Actor) headed up to Ljusne to sort out the final preparations for the shoot. They were joined a couple of days later by the rest of the crew and on October 30th the camera started rolling! What followed was an intense week of filming and despite the continuity nightmare of sporadic snowfall and the traditional lack of time, thanks to the hard work and amazing dedication of our cast and crew, we actually managed to sail this ship ashore!
But we're far from finished. Now, the wonderous journey of post-production begins!
This is the first day of our campaign and we have been stuggling to get the video and all the other information right on the page. Please, feel free to comment or contact me at Anna@tvaljusfilm.se if you have any questions about the film, this campaign or if you want to contribute in any way.
