Can anyone create a campaign on Crowdculture?
Anyone who has a cultural project can create a campaign. If you apply for public funding please read about the Funds' different criterias first.

Your project must match the Funds' criteria to obtain the co-fundng. The Monthly supporters has the power to decide where the money in the public funds should go. By getting the Monthly supporters to support your project you’ll automatically get the public co-funding.
Why did’nt my project match any fund?
In order to get the public co-funding the project must match their criteria. If it does’nt turn up any fund for you to apply for under the registration it’s probably because your project does’nt match their geografic area. If you apply for public funding please read about the Funds' different criterias first.
Can I use the the platform without applying for public co-funding?
Of course you can use the site as a "regular" crowd-funding platform and receive support only from private individuals and sponsors.
What happens when I click on the Send application button?
Your campaign will be sent for processing by the site administrators, and the public funds. Our administrators must check that the project does not violate the terms of use. Therefore it can take up to a few hours before your project is published, but usually it's faster. It takes up to 2 weeks to get a response from the public funds.
For how long is my campaign active?
You have a maximum of 120 days to achieve your full budget.
What happens if I do not reach 100% of my budget?
To get your money you need to achieve 100% of your desired budget within 120 days. If you do not achieve your goal the donations are paid back to the supporters. The Monthly Supporters money goes to other cultural projects on the page.
When will I get the money?
The payment is made to the project owners account within 14 days after the project has been fully funded.
Can I edit my campaign after the application been sent?
You can not change your budget, schedule or project idea, but you can change the image / film and make minor changes to the text.
Do I need to make a report after the project is finished?
Yes. When you have completed your project, use the page's blog feature to document and report how it went. Klick the link + New post when your signed in on your project page to post a blog post. The documentation should preferably be in image and video formats.
Will I be obliged to refund the support if the project is’nt realized?
You may be required to repay the money if the project is’nt realized. The public funding must be repaid. Please contact us if you have any concerns about this.
Can I delete my campaign?
Yes, you can always delete your project from the site. The money you have received so far will then be paid back to the supporters.
Can I register more than one project?
You can only register one project at a time. However, you can be involved in other projects without having the main responsibility or recieve funding.
How much money can I ask for?
There is no limit on how little or how much money you can apply for. How much money you can get depends on how well you share and communicate your project to the crowd. The more money you search the more time you’ll have to spend on marketing the campaign.
How do I support a project?
Find a project you like on the site, then click on the project's Support button and follow the instructions. You can support projects in two ways: by becoming a Monthly supporter or to give a donation. Learn more and see a tutorial
What is a Monthly supporter?
As a Monthly supporter you have the power over a part of the state budget for culture. The public funding in the system goes to the projects you choose to support. The Monthly supporters supports projects for 5 EUR per month and you can choose to become a supporter for 3, 6, 9 or 12 months. The monthly support is not paid directly to the project but paid minute by minute. During the number of months you chose, you can switch projects to support.
Can I support several projects at once?
The Monthly supporters can support as many projects they want, but only one at a time. You can also donate money to several projects.
Do I get my money back if the project I supported not achieves full funding?
If the project you support does not reach 100% of its budget, the money will be paid back. The direct donations will be refunded to the supporter. The money paid by the Monthly supporters will not be paid back. Their support will be paid to other project on the site.
How do I pay?
You can pay in EUR, GBP, USD or SEK by credit card or Paypal. In a near future you’ll also be able to do mobile payment.
Does all the support go directly to the project?
Crowdculture takes no fees, all money goes directly to projects. DIBS Payment Services and Paypal takes unfortunately a transaction fee of 4 and 6%.
Who developed Crowdculture?
Crowdculture was developed by Fabel, in collaboration with SICS (Swedish Institute for Computer Science) supported by VINNOVA and the Foundation for innovative culture.
Why?
Crowdculture has been built to allow everyone to take part in the decision making and distribution of the state budget for culture. Many good ideas are never realized because they do not fit into the support systems available today.
Does Crowdculture take any fees?
No, all the money goes directly to projects.
What differs this site from other crowd funding platforms?
The funding is provided through a combination of crowd funding and public grants. The Monthly supporters has the power over a part of the state budget for culture. The public funding in the system goes to the projects they choose to support. The page can also be used as a "regular" crowd-funding site, Crowdculture then differs because we do not take any share of the donations.
